Tucson Airport Authority Continues Reduced Rate For Garage Parking and Economy Covered

TUCSON AIRPORT AUTHORITY CONTINUES
REDUCED RATE FOR GARAGE PARKING
AND ECONOMY COVERED

 

      The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) announced today it would continue to offer the reduced rate of $9 per day for garage parking at the Tucson International Airport (TIA) terminal through the summer. This rate is the same rate as in the uncovered Daily surface lot in front of the terminal.

     With room for over 600 vehicles, the garage is a cool, convenient, short, covered walk to the terminal. It is located on the second level of the garage adjacent to the rental car building at the east side of the Airport terminal. To reach the lot, use the main airport entrance at Tucson Boulevard, follow the Garage Parking signs to the terminal's Upper Roadway, continue past the terminal and rental car building, turn right on Airport Drive and follow the signs around the Garage to the entrance.

     "While the economy continues its recovery, this is an opportunity to thank our loyal customers for supporting our airport and Tucson International Airport parking lots," said TAA President/CEO Bonnie Allin.

     Rates for Economy covered parking will remain $5 per day, including tax, through the summer. This is just $1 more per day than TAA's uncovered Economy lot.

     "We think airport visitors will find TAA parking lots easier to use and more convenient than ever," continued Ms. Allin. "EasyPay automated payment stations make it possible to pay on foot or at special automated exit lanes using credit or debit cards. Improved entrance roadway signs feature LED message boards listing parking availability and rates.

     Tucson Airport Authority operates five parking lots at Tucson International Airport. They include:

  • Hourly. In front of the terminal. 447 Spaces. Rates are $1 per ½ hour, $12/day.
  • Daily. In front of the terminal. 918 Spaces. Rates are $1 per ½ hour for first hour then $1.50/hour,
    $9/day.
  • Economy. Tucson Blvd. & Corona. 5,342 Spaces. Rates are $4/day.
    Economy Covered. 303 Spaces. Rates are $5/day.
  • Garage. Second level of the Rental Car Parking Garage adjacent to the terminal, 605 spaces. Rates are $3/hour, $9/day.

     All Tucson Airport Authority parking lots accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa. All rates include applicable taxes.
