TAA Names Public Info and Community Relations
 

      Tucson, Ariz. (Nov. 15, 2011)-The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) announced that Katy Smith has joined the organization as Manager of Public Information and Community Relations. Working in the business development and marketing department, Smith will manage the media relations for the TAA, as well as the community outreach programs for Tucson International and Ryan Airfield. In addition, she will provide brand management and assure a high level of communication with the public about the organization's activities. 

         
       Katy previously served as Marketing Director for Madden Media, managing public and media relations efforts, community sponsorship projects and client communications. Prior to her six-year term at Madden, Katy held related positions including newspaper reporter and copy editor in her home state of Oklahoma, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She has been a Tucson resident since 1999.
